Refund and Returns Policy

General return information

  1. New tritium sign return policy: Return requests must be made within 60 days of shipment. See new tritium sign return procedures.
  2. Photoluminescent sign return policy: Return requests must be made within 30 days of shipment. See photoluminescent sign return procedures.
  3. Customer returns without a valid RMA/RGA number will be refused upon arrival.
  4. Notifications of shipping errors must be made no later than 7 days after the delivery date of the shipment.
  5. Customers must carefully inspect all products upon delivery. The customer is required to promptly notify us of any errors, shortages, or damage of product within 7 days of delivery. The customer will be financially responsible for merchandise shipped to them in error if the merchandise is not returned within 30 days of notification of error.
  6. Exchange of merchandise may be exempt from restock fees however the customer is responsible for return shipping of the unwanted merchandise and reshipment of the new merchandise. Note: new merchandise may not be shipped until return shipment is received and inspected.
  7. Tritium Disposal reserves the right to refuse returns that violate this policy

Initiation of all return requests require the following information:

  1. Before returning product, you are required to contact TritiumDisposalTeam@data-memory.com to initiate a return.
  2. A Return Material/Goods Authorization (RMA/RGA) number will be provided with return instructions and a shipping label, via e-mail, to the customer.
    1. Full Name/Company
    2. Order Number (as applicable)
    3. Part Number
    4. Quantity to return
    5. Reason for Return

New tritium sign return procedures

  1. Once an RGA number and shipping label have been issued, the customer must ship the product according to instructions provided by TritiumDisposal.com within 7-10 days.
    1. Returns initiated within 30 days of original shipment will receive a full refund less the cost of return shipping with insurance.
    2. Returns initiated within 31-60 days of original shipment will receive a full refund less the cost of return shipping with insurance AND a 30% restock fee.
    3. Returns greater than 61 days from the original shipment date will not be refunded and are required to be disposed of in accordance with the Nuclear Regulatory Commission requirements. See TritiumDisposal.com for a quote request.
  2. TritiumDisposal.com is not responsible for lost or damaged customer return shipments. It is the customer’s responsibility that the tritium signs are packaged to ensure there is no damage in transit, with RGA # and UN2911 markings on the outside of the shipment box and returned in resaleable condition.
  3. Merchandise must be returned in its original packaging with all supplementary items, such as manuals, accessories, etc., or additional fees may apply.

Photoluminescent sign return procedures

  1. Once an RMA number and shipping label have been issued, the customer must ship the product according to instructions provided by TritiumDisposal.com within 7-10 days.
    1. Returns initiated within 30 days of original shipment will receive a full refund less the cost of return shipping with insurance AND a 30% restock fee.
    2. Returns initiated after 30 days from the original shipment dates will be denied.
  2. TritiumDisposal.com is not responsible for lost or damaged customer return shipments. It is the customer’s responsibility that the products are packaged to ensure there is no damage in transit, and in returned in resaleable condition.
  3. Merchandise must be returned in its original packaging with all supplementary items, such as manuals, accessories, etc., or additional fees may apply.

Defective Photoluminescent signs

  1. Requests for the return of defective merchandise must be made no later than 30 days from the shipping date.
  2. Merchandise returned as defective is subject to testing before credit will be issued.
  3. Customers returning defective merchandise with an authorized Return Material Authorization (RMA) number within 30 days of the shipment date are eligible to receive a refund via the original form of payment.
  4. TrititumDisposal.com will send a pre-paid return label to the customer via e-mail for the return of defective merchandise. Note: If the merchandise is not defective per the manufacturer’s specifications, a 20% restocking fee will apply and return shipping charges will be deducted from the credit issued to the customer.

Damaged Merchandise

  1. Damaged merchandise must be reported no later than 7 days from the shipment delivery date. If damaged, customer is to provide the following pictures:
    1. A photo showing the damaged item and how it was packaged inside the box
    2. A photo of the damaged item
    3. A photo of the packaging material used
    4. A close-up photo of the shipping label with tracking number
    5. Two photos showing all six sides of the package (one showing top and two sides, another showing bottom and opposite sides)
